Few things have given me the joy in life that sitting around a table with good friends playing a game that makes me hate them has. And as the DFW game board community continues to grow, I see the potential companions to share mutual hatred grow with it.
I’m Colin, gaming enthusiast and resident DM for TheTableTopology. My desire to be a content creator, in both writing and video, has been growing for some time. And while sharing my thoughts with my immediate friends who would listen has been heartwarming, being invited to write for EbullientGeek to an audience who I have as of yet been able to reach has been exciting. While my time blogging has been short, my time writing intricate campaigns for Dungeons and Dragons has covered the better part of 15 years. So hopefully that transfers over pretty well.
With this blog, I intend on venturing deeper into the DFW community and spotlighting not only the games and events that bring us all together, but the prominent members that make it great. I will also be speaking on a topic that not only myself, but DMs of all experience levels deal with. Writer’s Block. I will be sharing not only my process, but the process of other DMs, in overcoming that barrier.
As this new year lays before us, remember that as we travel through this world, it is the experience that we receive that allows us to become more than we were yesterday. So don’t forget to roll for your health and that your proficiency is +4 now.
